Is an introduction really needed? Partially Bristol based heavyweight production crew known for playing smashing dj sets all around the world. Releases and signings on labels such as Offkey, Freak, Position Chrome, Obscene, Habit, Subsistenz, KSS Black and the forthcoming release of Oxidize on Venom Inc. Blade is sure to rattle the dancefloor crowd to bits.

Pyro

Pyro is one of the most innovating producers about, heavily pushing deeper techno influenced sounds in drum and bass. This Copenhagen based dj played at the last Radiation, but did such a good job, we had to have him back! If you think techno-dnb is about 4/4 kicks and schranz influence, think again. With many vinyl and digital releases on his name on a long list of labels, and some soon to be released gems on Digital Venom, he has an awe inspiring arsenal of his own boundary pushing beats. Pyros dj sets shape to tell a story that can take you anywhere in the musical spectrum from very minimal to much harder.

Yabol

After the Polish took all the plumbing jobs, it seems that they're now trying to take our dj and producer jobs too. This madman (Yabol aka Limescale) is the head honcho of the Lodz based Mechaplex collective (Yabol, Pylon, Soccom and Switch Technique). If he isnt mixing or making killer tech tunes for Sinuous, Ruse or Venom Inc, he dresses up and transforms into a playboy bunny or super hero. Guaranteed entertainment.

Amex

This German producer is extremely puristic in his purveyance of the ultimate "percussive halfbar Techno (DnB)" sound, and more recently some "Kick n Bass" tracks (where snares are almost entirely replaced with more bass). One of the original pioneers of the techno-dnb sound, Amex was making percussion based tracks long before anyone heard of Proket. Now he has releases on labels such as Digital Venom, Nerve, M-Atome and Freak. Amex will be using Ableton Live for his rolling mechanical pounding percussion sound creating a tribal yet futuristic atmosphere ideal for going mad and loosing it on the dancefloor.

This Radiation has been taken over by Venom Inc label, with the 3 founding members representing its sound. All 3 of these guys are also excellent djs with a sick collection of tracks, each with their own take on the style. With the first vinyl release now in shops (VI001 - A: Pylon, Walder & Soccom - Failed Homicide / AA: Pylon & Soccom - Depot) and many top class drum and bass releases on its digital sister label Digital Venom, this label is going places. Producers from around the world are involved in the project and are working together to create new blueprints for the future of techno inspired drum and bass with tracks released and signed by artists such as Lethal & Khanage, Current Value, Gravity Zero, BTK(Identity), Walder, Mechaplex as well as all the guys in the Radiation line up.

Little old me, Radiations own Dutchman called kr4y will be mixing one or too beats as well. Apart from Radiation promotion, this September also sees the release of my tunes Snare and Vunzig on Spanish label Insekto Digital, dare I say so myself, showing both development and innovation in production skills and style. Playing with the concepts of build up and expectation in production as well as mixing, making for a trance inducing flow of techno influenced grooves within the drum and bass sound.

i'm not sure why people have this idea that in the uk we have all these sick events based around techno-dnb, the fact is that we (venom and radiation) feel pretty lucky and also quite nervous at putting on a line up like this, i dont think such a varied selection of techno style dnb artists have ever even been on the same line up here, dnb is on the decline in general here which means even less jump up let alone anything outside of the usual 'uk style' (lol).
